The dark brown belt is wider across the lower back and narrower at the front. That shape supports the back while leaving room to bend at the hips in squats and deadlifts. QST cuts its contoured belts from about 2 inches at the buckle to 4 or 6 inches at the back. Order 10 mm leather for the stiffest brace on heavy squats and deadlifts. Choose 6 mm as an all-round thickness, or 4 mm for a belt that bends more in Olympic lifts and general training.
